Passed away peacefully at Maison Michel-Sarrazin in Quebec City on January 29, 2025, at the age of 90 years and 8 months, Mrs. Gretl Kedl (Margarete Weinhofer), wife of the late Mr. Eugen Kedl, residing in Quebec City and originally from Güssing in Burgenland, Austria. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Anton Weinhofer and the late Mrs. Gisela Csery.

Deeply involved in many organizations, she worked for 25 years in the family business before becoming a tour guide until the age of 88.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM and from 6:30 PM to 8:45 PM at:

She is survived by her children: Evelyn (Jean-Pierre Brun), Richard (Julie Mercier), and André (Carole Marchand).

Her grandchildren: Vincent Kedl (Maud Duchesne), Georges Kedl (Khadissatou Aline Diatta), Étienne Brun (Emily Bacon), Hubert Kedl (Andréanne Talbot), Philippe Kedl (Mathilde Gilbert), and Charles Kedl (Kenza Benmahbous).

Her great-grandchildren: Anna, Édouard, Eugène, and Philippe.

She also leaves behind several sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and numerous friends.

She has now joined her beloved husband, Eugen, and her daughter Margarete, who left too soon.
